Before TenSeven Security became one of Oklahoma’s most trusted private security firms, it began the same way great service often does, through necessity and commitment.
Mike Snyder began his career in law enforcement, but like many officers, the paycheck didn’t stretch far enough. To support his family, he took part-time security jobs, first for local clients, then increasingly larger organizations. As demand grew, he brought in fellow officers who shared the same commitment to professionalism and protecting the community.
What started as side work turned into something larger: a full-scale security operation built on trust, reliability, and a reputation for always showing up when it mattered most.
As the company grew, Mike recognized the larger systemic issues in the security industry. Many security guards were undertrained, undervalued, and carried a stigma. Instead of accepting that standard, he built something different, an organization where guards would be trained to the same high expectations as sworn officers.

While many public agencies were unable to deploy due to hazardous conditions, TenSeven officers began rescue operations the very next morning, evacuating clients and employees from destroyed neighborhoods.
